Woolworths Fresh Treats for Kids
Hot Cross Buns and chocolate treats were just what the Doctor ordered for families and staff at Wellington Children's Hospital today. Staff from Woolworths Tawa and Woolworths Johnsonville, members of the Fresh Future Appeal fundraiser for kids, continued their support of our patients, bringing in the special Easter treats for all.
The special treat, handed out with help from Foundation mascot HOSPI, was a delight for families and staff on the Wards. Many of the treats were also wrapped up and set aside for young nil-by-mouth patients to enjoy after surgery.
As one mother commented on HOSPI's Facebook page "Awesome job Woolworths - we were in Ward 18 last Easter and they did the same thing. It helps make the gap between Easter at home and Easter in hospital seem a little smaller."
