Fun and Games On The Ward

While you are here there are lots of things to play with.  There is a play specialist who will help you to have fun.

We have facilities for:

Painting, drawing and crafts;
Board games and puzzles;
Books, magazines and comics;
Computer games;
Videos and televisions;
Stereos and personal stereos... and lots more!

You will get to meet other children who are also getting treatment in the hospital.

Playground

There is even a playground at the Wellington Children's Hospital! If you are feeling OK the nurse may let you go outside and play on the playground.  You can climb on it and swing on it and play with other boys and girls there.

This playground was built by the Lion clubs of Wellington - so we call it the Lion's Playground for Children at Wellington Children's Hospital.  You'll have lots of fun there!

Pet Therapists

Wellington Children's Hospital is often visited by our Volunteers who may bring their pets into the hospital to visit you.  Sometimes the Police Doghandlers bring their lovely dogs into the wards too!
