Kirkcaldie & Stains Official Christmas Charity
Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation and Wellington Children's Hospital have been named the official Christmas Charity for the Kirkcaldie and Stains and the Rotary Club of Wellington joint fundraising partnership.
Over November and December, Kirkcaldies & Stains and the Rotary Club of Wellington aim to raise $25,000 for Wellington Children's Hospital. All funds raised will be put toward the Children's Hospital Redevelopment Appeal.
There are many ways that Kirkcaldies & Stains and the Rotary Club of Wellington are raising these funds. Quite a few require community involvement so you can help raise these funds too:
1. Street Party – Saturday 21 November 2009
A big party in Brandon Street! Our Volunteers will be holding a coin collection while volunteers for Rotary Club of Wellington run BBQs, the Zippity Zoo petting farm, rides in Vintage Cars, Merry go-round and a Bouncy Castle all of which children can take part in for a small donation.
2. Christmas Charity Shopping Nights
This year there are to be 4 Christmas Charity Shopping Nights. Details are:
- Every Tuesday night in December, members of the public are invited to late Christmas shopping nights at Kirkcaldies & Stains. Entry to the late night shopping is by way of a $5.00 door charge which is donated to the Children's Hospital appeal.
- Doors open 6.30pm – 9.30pm
- Customers will receive a $10.00 Kirkcaldies & Stains voucher for every $50.00 spent which can be redeemed on the night or up until mid January.
- Evening of 8th December will be for Kirkcaldies & Stains cardholders only.
3. Mary Christmas Teddy Bear
Every year Kirkcaldies & Stains have a different Christmas Teddy Bear. This year's bear is a beautifully soft, cream coloured bear called Mary Christmas.- Retail price $14.95 with proceeds going to the Children's Hospital appeal.
4. Kirkcaldies Christmas Account Card
- An activation fee of $10.00 has been introduced this year for the first time with 100% going to the Children's Hospital Appeal.
5. Gift Wrapping Stations
- You can make donations to the Children's Hospital Appeal at the gift wrapping stations over the Christmas period.
6. Christmas Decorations at Wellington Children’s Hospital / Hospital in Generalospital in General
- Kirkcaldies & Stains are staff are also going to visit the Children’s Hospital & decorate the Wards in early December. We are all VERY excited as it will look AMAZING!
- They are also going to supply a beautiful, tall, Christmas Tree for the Atrium of Wellington Hospital!
