Gifts for Sophie

In Wellington Children's Hospital there is a very brave young girl named Sophie who has spent more than 18 weeks this year in Hospital.  This means that she has only been out of hospital for 5 weeks in the whole year!

Sophie has been very unwell with Crohn's Disease and even spent her 15th birthday in Hospital.  But thanks to some wonderful, caring businesses in Wellington, Sophie had an extra special day full of surprises!

Sophie's special day began with a visit from 2 of top hairstylists from Balliage Hair Design who gave Sophie a trim and straightened her long curly hair, making her feel a million dollars.The Body Shop in Wellington Central sent along some delicious smelling lotions and body butters for Sophie and Reading Cinemas also gave 5 passes and meal vouchers for their Gold Lounge for Sophie and her family.  An avid Harry Potter fan - the tickets will be used as soon as Sophie is well enough to leave the Hospital for a few hours!!
